Q1.
What information should I have to register as a user of the myTakaful Customer Portal?
  • Certificate Number
  • New IC Number / Old IC Number / Passport Number
  • Email Address
Q2.
Who can register to access the myTakaful Customer Portal?
  • Only Participants with ACTIVE Certificate(s) are allowed to register on the customer portal.
  • Registration process must use Participant details EXCEPT for Takaful Siswa, where the Contributor details are used for the registration process.

What are the types of certificate or account allowed for registration?
  • Please click on this link to view the list of products.
Q4.
What should I do if I'm having a problem to select a User ID?
  • Please make sure you've selected a User ID that consists of a minimum of 3 characters. Use only uppercase or lower case letters (A through Z or a through z), Numerals (0 through 9) and WITHOUT any spaces. We suggest you use a combination of your name, and year of birth such as, Mas1970 or NRIC number 731119145126. Q5.
How do I select my password?
  • Your password cannot contain the User ID
  • Your minimum password length must be at least 8 characters long.
  • Your new password must not be similar to the 6 previous passwords.
  • Your password must contain at least a combination of 3 out of the following 4 character groups:
        - Uppercase letters (A through Z);
        - Lower case letters (a through z);
        - Numerals (0 through 9);
        - Special characters like @, #, $, %, &, (,), -, /, *
Q6.
Why does my password have to consist of a combination of alphabet and numbers?
  • To ensure that the security of your password is increased as well as to minimize the chances of a third party guessing your password.
Q7.
I'm having trouble registering a User ID. What should I do?
There are several reasons why you may not be able to register:
  • You may have incorrectly entered your Certificate Number / New IC Number / Old IC Number / Passport Number.
  • The certificate you want to access is not available for online registration.
  • Your Certificate Number / New IC Number / Old IC Number / Passport Number does not match or is not listed in our records.

Section 2: Information about the Portal
Q1.
As a user, what exactly can I anticipate from this portal?
This portal provides a user with the following facilities:
  • List of certificates that you owned in a single view.
  • Information on certificate status, payment history, effective date, maturity date, contribution amount & etc.
  • The ease of updating personal information such as contact number, emails, address and bank account details.
  • To view and ability to download Income Tax and Annual Statement.
Q2.
Why my other certificate with Takaful Malaysia is not listed in the Certificate Listing?
  • The list of certificates is currently limited to a certain extent. Please click on this link to view the list of products available for registration and viewing via this portal.
Q3.
I noticed that there are some errors reflected in the certificate details, to whom should I refer this to?
Q4.
Can I access the customer portal from my phone or tablet?
  • Yes, you may access the portal via a smart phone or tablet as long as you have an internet connection to access to it.
Q5.
I was suddenly logged off from the customer portal after I left it unattended for a few minutes, is that normal?
  • For security purposes, the setting has been made to log the user off if there is no activity on the customer portal page for a maximum of 20 minutes. This is to ensure that the personal information is not being left unattended without the presence of the user.

Section 3: Information on Change of Details
Q1.
If I want to change my contact details, how can I do so?
This portal provides a user with the following facilities:
  • Change of email address and contact number
    Go to Profile page and make the changes accordingly. This update feature will take into effect across all certificates owned by our valued customers. Otherwise, the changes are only made for the customer portal.
  • Change of address
    Family Certificate(s) - This can be done on the 'CERTIFICATE LISTING - Family Certificates' page under the 'Change of Address' option. You may key in your new correspondence and home address in the column provided.
    General Certificate(s) - This can be done on the 'CERTIFICATE LISTING - Motor & Non Motor Certificates' page under the 'Change of Address' option. You may select your desired certificate(S) and key in your new correspondence address in the column provided.
  • Update bank account details
    This can be done at the Payment Methods section under the 'PROFILE' page. Please key in your bank account details in the column provided.
Q2.
Will I be notified once the changes have been completed in the system?
  • Yes, you will be notified via email or letter once the amendment made to your contact details completed.
