To prevent unauthorized access to your account, each customer is required to have a valid User ID and a password.

In order to ensure the integrity of your password, you are advised to do the following:-

  • Memorize your password
  • Change your password regularly
  • Choose a password that is not easily guessed by others
  • Avoid using simple words like your name, birth date or phone numbers as your password
  • Do not reveal your password to others, even if requested by any authorized Takaful Malaysia personnel.

Your password must meet the password criteria as listed below:-

  • Password cannot contain of User ID
  • Minimum Password length should be 8 characters
  • Password must contain at least a combination of 3 out of the following 4 character groups:
    • Upper case letters (A through Z)
    • Lower case letters (a through z)
    • Numerals (0 through 9)
    • Special characters like @, #, $, %, &, (,), -, /, *

Please take note that your password will expire every 180 days. The system will auto-prompt you to change your password when it reaches the expiry date.

Be sure to set your Security Question. In the event that you have forgotten your password, forgotten your user id or if your account is locked due to 3 times of wrong password attempt, you can easily change your password by providing the correct answer to your security question. Please make sure you choose a question that only you know the answer. Update your Security Question at the Change Profile option.

Even though we exercise considerable security measures at all times, however, we do not have control over the computer you use to access our myTakaful Customer portal. Therefore, we would like to recommend you the following:-

  • Please ensure that your computer does not provide anyone the opportunity to gain access to your information. Do log out if you decide to leave your computer unattended. As an added security feature, we have incorporated a function to automatically log you out when no activity is detected for a preset period.
  • Please ensure that your computer does not allow any eavesdropping or recording activities.
  • Always log out from the myTakaful Customer portal before visiting other websites or immediately after you are done with our portal.
  • The AutoComplete function on your browser should be disabled to avoid the automatic completion of your ID when you type in your User ID.
  • Go to MS Internet Explorer browser, choose "Tools" menu to go to the "Internet Options" function. Then select "Content" tab. Click the "AutoComplete" button to disable the "User names and passwords on forms".

To ensure data confidentiality and integrity, all information transmitted over the Internet is encrypted using the 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. SSL is a secure way of transferring information between two computers on the Internet using encryption.

An internet browser allows you to access and navigate a myriad of information and service on the internet. Most computers come with a browser already installed.

Always update your MS Internet Explorer browser when new versions are released. They often include new security features to protect your information.
